Eugenia and Gerri talk about Buck Rogers.  Buck has a long history first appearing in 1929 in the Science Fiction magazine Amazing Stories.  So, why are they talking about an 85-year-old hero?  Set in the future in the year 2419, Buck has been influencing heroes since his first appearance!  Eugenia and Gerri discuss how this hero has changed over the years, how the changing times have influenced the presentation of women, and how they changed from screamers to leaders.  The 1979 - 1981 “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” television show is the one that they discuss in this episode.  As regular listeners you know that Eugenia and Gerri love to interview actors from iconic television shows and that happens again in this episode and it is non other than Colonel Wilma Deering, who of course is the beautiful Erin Gray.  So, sit back and enjoy!  Gerri and Eugenia would like to thank Scott Liston from First Contact Conventions www.firstcontactconventions.com.au and Gifts for the Geek www.giftsforthegeek.com.au for the opportunity to interview Erin.

Every now and again a show comes along that is a little bit different! Sometimes it is the premise or sometimes it is innovation with new technology, Sanctuary was ground breaking in that it sought input from the Sci Fi community before the show was even aired and then was released for free on YouTube before being picked up by the then Sci Fi, now Syfy channel. In this episode Eugenia and Gerri talk about what they thought of the innovations that came with this show, the interesting Canadian texture that was brought to the show and what it takes in the 21st Century for a show to make it on TV! They interview Ryan Robbins, who plays Henry Foss, the geeky tech wiz and a Lycanthrope. Ryan has been in many Sci Fi and Fantasy shows, he has an impressive IMDB. Eugenia and Gerri would like to thank Oz Comic Con www.ozcomiccon.com and Blue Planet PR www.blueplanetpr.com.au for the interview with Ryan.

There have been many who have taken on the role of Doctor Who and say that the eighth Doctor was the one that killed off the series. Although a hit in the UK it did not make it in the US and did not progress to a series as was hoped. This showing of the Doctor introduced some new concepts of the Doctor and his first kiss on screen and caused many a discussion in the Whovian universe, was the Doctor half human, should he kiss his companion, was he above all of this? The human bit did not survive but by heck the kissing did!!!   In this episode Gerri and Eugenia discuss all of the above and have a special treat for all Whovians. They have the eighth Doctor and his companion. Paul McGann and Daphne Ashbrook in a rare joint interview, discussing the movie, how it was made and how they felt about the movie, their expectations and all the whys and whats at the time! Gerri and Eugenia would like to thank Scott Liston from First Contact Conventions www.firstcontactconventions.com.au for the opportunity to have an interview with both of the stars of this iconic movie.

It's All About The Voice - Steve - Kyle - Scott

Podcast93-ItsAllAboutTheVoice-Steve-Kyle-Scott.mp3

Many of us have a favourite cartoon, animated film or Japanese anime and in that, we have a favourite character! As we watch the screen these characters feel alive, we enjoy how they react and how they come across as real, but, they are only 2D frames of some very good drawings hand or computerised and put together with sound! So what really brings these characters to life? In this episode Gerri and Eugenia discuss that, they talk about the words that are said and the actors who make them come alive with their use of voice. They talk to some of the greats in the voice actor world and have interviews with Steve Blum, Kyle Hebert, and Scott McCord but in reality they are not just interviewing these three but hundreds of characters from the world of animation! They would like to thank Bill and Adele from New Zealand, Armageddon Expo catch them at http://armageddonexpo.com/nz/ or http://armageddonexpo.com/au/ for their Australian Expo.
