The world of B grade Sci Fi movies is the topic of discussion in this podcast. Eugenia and Gerri talk about memorable movies that don’t quite make the A list of movies or even the C and D lists! They talk about Plan 9 from Outer Space, Starship Troopers and Slipstream just to name a few. However there is one movie that they both rave about and that is Sand Sharks produced by and starring Corin Nemec from Stargate, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose and Supernatural fame. In a very chatty interview with Corin, Eugenia and Gerri find out a lot about his many interests and experiences being part of a growing television industry. Their thanks go to Gifts for the Geek www.giftsforthegeek.com.au and The Hub Productions www.thehubproductions.com for the opportunity to interview Corin. Corin will be present at Oz Comic Con in Adelaide 2012 www.ozcomiccon.com
With both Stargates off the air Gerri and Eugenia were looking forward to Universe. Having seen the promos they wonder if it could be a version of Battle Stargate Universe. They so wished that it could stand-alone! What do they think of the new series? What do they think has influenced the creators of the show did they warm to the characters or like the storyline? Download this episode and see if they nailed it?
Eugenia and Gerri discuss the many years of entertainment that Stargate has given us over the years talking about the SG1, Atlantis and of course the youngster of the crew Universe. This favoured show still resonates today with Sci Fi fans with its strong stories lines and believable plots and its Doctor Who ability to have major cast changes and still be relevant. Characters grew over the years and with the use of Egyptian mythology set the show in a place that gave us familiarity. In this episode Eugenia and Gerri talk to two of the shows actors that made an impact, Christopher Judge and Corin Nemec, the one that grew his hair and the one that was swapped for Daniel! Thanks to Carissa and Rand from The Hub Productions www.thehubproductions.com and Gift for the Geeks at Supanova Expo www.giftsforthegeek.com.au
Eugenia and Gerri go back to one of their favourites, Stargate. They talk about all the baddies that battled with Stargate Command over the years of the shows. They discuss the ones that they liked even though they shouldn’t. They talk about one particular baddie that they both like very, Ba’al. This particular bad guy was not your typical Goa’uld System Lord. Yes, he did want to take over the Universe, he was ruthless and selfish and just plain bad, but, did it with just a sparkle in his eye. So, sit back have a listen and then enjoy the conversation they got to have with the best baddie from Stargate, none other than Ba’al, the gorgeous Cliff Simon when they caught up with him at The Hub Productions Convention in Adelaide www.thehubproductions.com .
In this episode Eugenia and Gerri cover about 70 years of Science Fiction from Doctor Who to Farscape to Stargate with the only actor (well as far as our research shows) that has participated in three of the longest running Sci Fi shows over three continents! Farscape an Aussie Sci Fi show deserves to be watched by so many more Sci Fi fans. With the use of Jim Henson’s puppetry, its strong characters, and how the puppets seemed like real characters with actors bringing them believably to life. Ben Browder talks about how he wanted to work with Jim Henson’s company, loved working on Farscape, his move to Stargate and Doctor Who! Wow Ben Browder could be every Sci Fi fans ultimate actor! Thanks go to Oz Comic Con’s Carissa, Rand, and Maggie from www.ozcomiccon.com.

Who in their childhood did not want to be a movie or TV star when they grew-up? In this episode Eugenia and Gerri discuss some of the younger actors that we see on our big and small screens! They discuss the roles that they take on and how they help tell a story and make it more real! Some of the kids that are on our screens are not even able to watch the shows/movies that they are in because of the rating that is then put onto the show. Some of them have scared us silly and some of them have made us laugh and long to do what they are doing. So what else do they have for you? Lots! They have not one, not two but three interviews for you in this episode, Chandler Riggs who plays Carl in popular The Waking Dead and Jodelle Ferland who has been seen in many genre shows. The last interview is with Chandler’s father William Riggs who is not only his father but also his teacher. They hope that you enjoy this insight into the younger actors in our favourite shows. They would like to thank Daniel and Lionel www.lionelmidfordpublicity.com from Supanova Pop Culture Expo and you can find them at www.supanova.com.au.
